100% Cabernet Franc from the Pigoni Ranch in Alexander Valley. This wine has a beautiful purple hues and lovely floral and back-currant scents. It's well structured with a good background minerality and a beautiful fruit intensity without any heaviness. An elegant, pure and well textured Cab Franc. Hand picked and sorted, machine crushed and de-stemed. Cold soaked for 6 days, wild yeast fermentation for 7 days at 80 degrees. extended maceration on skins, 10 days. Pressed directly to tank then clean racked into barrels the next day.20% new French Oak, mostly Tonnellerie Radoux.
