Marsala is made from a blend of four different grape varieties: Grillo, Catarratto, Inzolia and Damaschino to which cooked must and clear alcohol are added. The mixture, which is obtained, is then aged for a minimum of one year in large oak barrels, which slowly impart a light oxidation that gives the wine its typical amber color. This is an excellent meditation wine and for the end of a meal. As an aperitif it is ideal when paired with aged cheeses. The color is amber with aromas that are ehtereal and intense. The flavor is of almonds, mushrooms, and soy with hints of burned orange. Available in 375 ml. and 750 ml. bottles.
