Pedroncelli estate vineyards are located in the eastern hills, Bushnell Vineyard is mid-valley hillside and Faloni Vineyard, the source of Courage, is located on the western side. Dave and Dena Faloni are the neighbors behind our Courage Zinfandel, a multi-generation grower family just two miles west of the winery. Opaque ruby-purple at first sight. Aromas of ripe blackberry, cherry, and warm clove. Full bodied with lush red berry, vanilla, mocha notes with a deep spice bramble flavor. Bright acidity and velvety tannins highlight this Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel. The lingering finish is framed by pepper and baking spices.

John Pedroncelli, Senior Winemaker, 1925-2015
John began his winemaking career as a child working side by side with his father, John Sr. learning from the ground up. After World War II and his service in the US Coast Guard, he graduated from Santa Rosa Junior College and then attended many winemaking classes at University of California at Davis. John's style is Pedroncelli's style-wines that are flavorful and balanced to reflect the region's characteristics-he allows the wines to speak for themselves. (John - on right- pictured brother Jim)
