This vintage is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Merlot varieties. The Cabernet offers black cherry flavors and plenty of supple tannins. Petite Sirah contributes lush ripe plum and berry flavors plus adding to the wine body. Merlot adds floral scents and a smooth mouth feel. Barrel aging occurred in neutral 60 gallon oak cooperage allowing the wine to develop complexity yet not be dominated by aggressive oak flavors.
