It is a great introduction to the iconic Domaine of the island - Sigalas. It is not a second wine, rather an unoaked blend of the indigenous Assyrtiko and Athiri. There is softness to the profile here that distinguishes it from the flagship Assyrtiko bottling and makes for what is the perfect summer time quaffer with a touch of structure and persistence. There's a generous mouthful of ripe fruit and glycerin here with the telltale notes of lemon, lime, melon, nectarines, white flowers, and a spray of the sea salt. It is perfect for summer salads, seafood and summer guests. The little transporting wine is a tremendous value for what is in the bottle - huge crowd-pleaser that exudes freshness and can simultaneously please the Chablis, Pinot Grigio and Sancerre fan."
